About Us:

The Hogwash Party intends to qualify a new political party pursuant to Elections Code section 5151 by registering more than 70,000 California voters in time to qualify for the next election.

The following is our Party’s reason for formation:

The Hogwash party is a party of Americans who believe that “good ideas never go out of style.” This party draws heavily on the ideas espoused by Plato in his timeless classic “The Republic.”

We believe that all elected officials today are “Plutocrat’s.” Twenty five hundred years ago Plato created the word Plutocrat. The word itself is composed of two Greek words meaning wealth and power. A plutocrat is a career politician. Every elected official in America today is rich and powerful. They serve not the American People; they serve to increase their personal wealth. Why else do they call it a career?

Every other political party available to the American voters today operates under the false assumption that holding political office or working for government is a job. The Hogwash party draws on the ideas of Plato and the founding fathers of America that it is a “Duty” and an “Honor” to hold office or work for government.

This party stands for the principle;

“We, as citizens of the greatest Country in the history of the world, have the “duty” and the “honor” to bring back good government by encouraging our fellow citizens to run for public office or serve in the government not to enrich them selves but to serve their country”

We encourage public service for a limited time in government as a civic duty and an honor, not as a stepping stone to wealth and power.

The establishment of this party puts the Plutocrats of America on notice; we consider them to be what is wrong with America. We recognize them by the words they use to keep their jobs, which we politely call Hogwash, hence, the name of our party.
